Skipping church with Granny and Granddad

-In my tutor room with Beth.
-I found a skirt my mum had bought and left for me, it was very pretty (kind of denim pleated) but i had just bought a similar one the day before
-I changed into it quickly, and then our tutor (including Beth) had to go somewhere. We went to a large church, where there were also lots of other pupils from schools sitting in their places.
-When we got there i sat with dad and Beth, and it seemed we had to wait for a while, while everyone else got there
-Granny and Granddad were there, and they said we should come with them. They led us into the middle of the church, then down a little stone path and into a garden with a cottage (their house, in the dream). Somehow this fit perfectly into the middle of the cathedral!
-They said it was fine for us to not stay in the church, and so we went with them into their garden, where it was bright and sunny, and walked around and chatted and things.
-They had some new things in their garden, including a water feature which i had heard about before and was delighted to see.
-Beth was looking at some tiles, which where sitting in tubs of water, on the other side of the garden but somehow managed to break one. Granny and Granddad weren't exactly annoyed with her, but they were slightly bothered because they had been planning to return that particular set of tiles the next day.
-Granny and I then went inside and noticed mum had put some really nice cream cakes in the oven and we were just checking to see if they were done when i woke up.

I think that Scott is probably right - that dreaming of leaving a church could signify wanting a change from old traditions and routines. Also, although i have spent so much time thinking about where my life is leading and what i want to do, maybe i just want to step away from that too and get on with my life at the moment. And eat cake. Maybe.
