A New Ice Age

I was with a couple of people in a field (dream people, i don't know who they were), but it started to rain and someone was complaining so we decided to return to somewhere dry. I remember in the field i think there were dandelions and a pond or river. We went back to a little sort of cave underground on one side of the field that seemed to belong to us. Before we entered it however, something amazing in the sky distracted our attention. A huge planet was moving past, to us about the size of a house but farther away, and it looked a little like earth but it seemed bluer/cloudier/icier. It floated past, towards the horizon, but crash landed on a hill a short way away. It was completely surreal... the ground vibrated and a ridge was formed which rolled towards us quickly, and we immediately dived for cover in our cave. Underground we felt the shaking and the further the ridge in the earth rolled the farther in time the world seemed to move, until eventually outside was a huge ice-age from the future that settled. In the final part of my dream i was crawling behind rows of polar bears, trying not to be spotted and to find food.

Personal Meaning
Wow, what a wealth of positive symbols! From the dandelion, which is a welcome sign after going through so many hard times that there sometimes seem to be no end of, to rain and snow and ice and polar bears which all signify renewal, and new beginnings. If that is what the near future holds, then that would be so wonderful, after going through a lot of difficult things recently!! The snow and ice may also talk of my way of holding back emotion, and outwardly seeming a little cold towards situations, and the bears of repressed feelings that need to be outwardly expressed.
It's funny, sometimes i cannot believe the extent to which dreams parallel my waking life. All of these symbols hold similar meanings, and they relate to my situation exactly. I often find with dreams that the dream says something just before it happens, and the last few days/week or so, things have been at their hardest. And yet, now two days since i had this dream, and not an easy day in itself, tonight a ray of sunlight broke through. Will it spread as the dream suggests i wonder?
