Candle-lit Café
I was in a sort of restaurant with my brother, it was dimly lit and we were sitting at a table with someone else as well i think.
I was trying to light the candles on the table - firstly a candle in a jar, and then i successfully lit something but it was on fire on the table, so i dropped it into the jar to stop it making anything else catch alight and both flames went out.
I didn't have any more matches.

Fire
Flames, like ice, can be a symbol of ritual cleansing.
It may suggest that something old is passing and something new is entering your life. Your thoughts and views are changing. In particular, if the fire is under control or contained in one area, it is a metaphor of your own internal fire and inner transformation. It also represents your drive and motivation.
To dream that you put out a fire, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles in your life through much work and effort.
Candle
To see a burning candle in your dream, signifies that good luck and hope will be coming your way in small and steady amounts. You are in a comfortable stage in your life and may be seeking spiritual enlightenment. Lit candles are also symbolic of intellect, enlightenment, awareness or the search for truth.
To see a candle blow out in your dream, indicates that you are surrendering a significant aspect of yourself. You are letting go of something that used to be important to you.
Restaurant
To dream that you are in a restaurant, suggests that you are feeling overwhelmed by decisions/choices that you need to make in your life. Alternatively, it indicates that you are seeking for emotional nourishment outside of your social support system.
Personal Meaning
This dream seems quite positive - much hinting of the end of something and finding a comfortable stage in life. It also mentions drive and motivation, and letting go of something that used to be important. I feel that having had a lot of work recently building up to a climax and then finally finishing a few things, especially to do with my art project finally coming to an end, means that i can leave things behind and look forwards. My room, after 6 months of looking as if a bomb has hit it, is finally clear, empty and ready to start afresh. My bedroom always reflects my state of mind.
Only the restaurant hints that i feel overwhelmed, and though its not exactly that i feel overwhelmend by decisions, except the lingering thought of what i'm going to choose to do next year, i do feel rather worried and overwhelmed by the months of work and exams to come sometimes.
