Fighting off Dogs with Wolves
I was climbing the steps to a room. When i got into the room, which was high up at the top of the building i was in, it was very small, round and contained a couple of men and two snarling rotweiler dogs. I just had to get past these and get out of the door on the other side. I did this once or twice, and then found i was climbing the stairs with my mum and brother and that i'd have to protect them to help them get through the room.
So, as we climbed the stairs, i conjured up two large, gray wolves from my imagination, and they came up to fight and protect us. I managed to get them through the room safely eventually.
A little after this, mum, dad and me were walking up to near where my grandparents live. Next door, in the dream, was where Sarah lives and she was having a sleepover. Someone opened the door when i got there, and it was warm and colourful and there were friendly people inside. My parents dropped off my stuff for me and said goodbye, and then i stood and watched them, because i was still dreaming lucidly and could control some things, i made sure they walked away together safely before they faded away into my imagination and the dream too faded away around me as i woke up.

Wolf
To see a wolf in your dream, symbolizes beauty, solitude, mystery, self-confidence and pride. You are a loner by choice. Negatively, it represents hostility and aggression. It may also reflect an uncontrollable force or situation in your life. In particular, if the wolf is white, then it signifies valor and victory. You have the ability to see the light even in your darkest hours.
Night
To have a dream that takes place at night, represents some major setbacks and obstacles in achieving your goals. There are some issues in your life that you are facing that are not too clear. You should put the issues aside so you can clear your head before coming back to it.
Room
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a particular relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality.
To dream that you find or discover new rooms, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally.
Protection
To dream that you are protecting someone, suggests that you are putting up an emotional wall or barrier between you and others around you. Consider who or what you are protecting for clues as to what aspect of your own self you are afraid of letting out and letting others know.
Personal Meaning
It's very interesting writing up this dream a couple of days later, having dreamt and written about another dream and been through muddles of feelings since. This dream is about myself. I think the wolf is an animal that represents me; i've been told before that i'm a very individual person - i often choose not to fit in with people and move around and do what i like. Though i have lapses in self-confidence i tend to go to two extremes as sometimes i'm completely happy with who i am and love myself. I can also sometimes be quite proud, and quite defensive.
Taking these wolves into a new room may have been about me finding new parts of myself. I'm not sure about what the 'protection' part is saying exactly.. about my personal barriers around people. Maybe it's saying that i don't reveal the same person to people that i am around my family, and that maybe i should.
The thing that really interests me about this dream though is the end of it, when i'm going to a sleepover, though arriving quite late - about midnight. And who's was it? It was Sarah's, with Fran and Henry there too. And it was warm, and it & they were welcoming. Most of what has been on my mind recently has been friendships, and yet i only just saw it in my dream, it was Sarah's that i was entering.
