Physics! Ahh!

I just remember being in my old house, on the top floor where my bedroom was, and being told something along the lines of that I can't do physics for A-level because i failed it or something. This also meant for some reason that i couldn't only do 3 subjects, and i was really upset because now i wasn't going to get very good grades in those and wouldn't be able to go to university to do what i wanted!

I had a series of different images of me being upset, one of me going into an ICT lesson, having been crying, one of me red-eyed and tearily turning away from my parents and locking myself in the bathroom, and finally (still in the dream) I woke up in the spare room of our old house. Christian came in and asked me if i was going to stop moping around now and get on with my life.

EXAM test of some quality in you

Dreammoods' 'Exam' meaning extract...
"These dreams usually have to do with your self-esteem and confidence or your lack of. You are worried that you are not making the grade and measuring up to other people's expectations of you. You may also experience the fear of not being accepted, not being prepared, or not being good enough. You feel nervous, insecure and tend to believe the worst about yourself.

These dreams also suggest that you may feel unprepared for a challenge. Rarely, are these dreams about the content of the test, but rather the process and how you are feeling during the exam taking process. Generally, you feel distressed and frustrated. These feelings may parallel how you are feeling in a particular challenge or situation in your waking life."

CRY
- emotional release
- openly state your frustrations

Crying
To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. But in our dream state, our defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of such emotions.

Bed
To see your bed in your dream, represents you intimate self and discovery of your sexuality. If you are sleeping in your own bed, then it denotes security and restoration of your mind. You are looking for domestic bliss and peace. If you are waking up in different and/or unknown beds, then it represents the consequences of the decisions you have made.

Personal Meaning
The most obvious, and the most likely, cause for this dream is simply anxiety about exams. They start next monday, and now that it's friday they suddenly seem very close ! I have done quite a lot of revision, but i'm obviously worried that it's not enough, or that i won't perform to my ability, which is quite high and therefore another reason to be worried that i won't do amazingly. The expectations i don't want to let down, are in fact my own. Also, in my daily life i'm actually preventing myself from worrying about the exams because i know it won't help and i could easily get over-stressed if i did start worrying, so in my dreams it's a safe way to vent my worries, just as the 'crying' theme suggests!

Another side to the failing exam thing, is that it seems to reflect some of my feelings of low confidence & self-esteem. Recently i've been far more positive, making a real effort, and again, maybe in my dreams its just venting some of the things that i push away from my mind in the day. I do have a tendency to put myself down or 'believe the worst', but i'm certainly making a conscious effort to do so. And thus , perhaps , is why i woke up in my old house and , with Owly's help, decided to get on with life. I'm not entirely sure why it was my old house, but i suspect it referred to the 'old' and moving on from it. Je veux bien!

Good Choice, AS Physics is a waste :)
You've been revising lots and I'm sure you'll do well, new beginnings for summer :P
P.S Love the site, Looks amazing!

Love you!,
Owly
